failure of API?

I just finished running PC Doctor (which is very expensive) because I don't know dittaly. Anyway, I recently put in a new DVD and CD-RW and went to copy a CD and realized for some reason or other I had to reinstall the Roxio 5 CD Creator I originally had with my computer. No problem, installed, but when I went to copy, this is what I got. "can't get necessary recorder information, create API returns failure. When I run a check, the problem comes up as "application paths section of your registery refers to one or more invalid files, causing appls not to run.

Can anyone help me get Roxio up and running?

I think I got it.

Got to Roxio and realized I could install updates for what I had and because of the newer CD-RW and DVD I needed them. I've installed and I think I'm okay, by the way I downloaded deepburner and I thank you for that. Kool
