    Hi,

I recently bought a 1 Gb Kingston USB disk from an online auction site. It had some serious performance problems and after contacting Kingston and doing some reasearch on İnternet I learned that it was a fake product made in China :( . Those products apparently have a very small storage capacity but fool the computer to think they are bigger. I tried to format it using Window's formatting tool but it still showed it to have 1Gb capacity. Some forums advised using a low-level formatting utility to reveal the disk's real size. I downloaded one and used it. After formatting, my computer is unable to recognize the disk (it cannot detect when it is plugged or removed). I consulted Kingston but they said they couldn't help me because they have no information about my product. My question is: Is it possible for my computer to recogniz the disk again? By the way I've bought a genuine Kingston from a local electronics shop, so I don't really need the fake one. It is just curiosity.)
    Thank you very much...
