Fallout New Vegas Sound Issue

Hi everyone, was wondering If someone could help me with a sound issue, who's familiar with the game. I have all sounds and speech, but my pipboy doesn't play any music, the DJ will speak and say "up next...", but then no song will play. However If I walk by a radio in game, I can hear the music, just not on my pipboy. I've tried various codec downloads, to no avail, and I'm not sure what else I can try or If its even a codec issue, but I'm hoping someone can help =/ Thanks in advance!

 

Maybe a codec issue. Which codec's have you tried?

That is the one I'm using and I have no problem. Can you hear the regular radio stations? Have you recent;y isstalled one of the radio music mods obtainable from the internet or anything? How long has this been going on? try loading a previous saved game and see if you can hear the music.

 

Probably the sound files that screwed up during installation. Try reinstalling. Codecs might also be a possibility as Bethesda likes to install beta software with their games.
