Fanless video card cooling

Looking for something to both be quieter and reduce system temps on my MSI X800XL PCI-E.

Here's the two I was looking at. Feel free to recommend others and or give me your opinion on the two.

passives won't be very good at cooling, but I would think they would do if you wanted an absolutely quiet case

a good compromise would be the artic silencer series

 

looked at the Nv silencer ?

 

I don't ever move my computer, and I want to reduce my temperatures. I just want the best way to do that... loud or not, I don't care. I play my games and music plently loud enough to overpower any fans and such.

What model do I need for an X800XL?

 

Anyone?

you will have to search online to see if there are any problems with your specific card,find some reviews of your card,when reading the review look for the words ati reference design or layout,if msi have followed it it will fit,if not just return it its no big deal,if I have time I check for you,but try that in the meantime

We learn by doing ,I had to slightly mod my nv5 because sparkle use an extra thick heatpad on the cards voltage regulator heatsink,only a few milimeters but it was there and stopping a perfect fit!

 

Cool. Do you think I should spend $10 or so and get some ramsinks to use too? Or can you not use them with this thing?

Hmm. It just came in stock at Newegg, you guys think that's what I should get?
