Goldenskull I can't follow the rules

I was looking at this one posting that this person asked about fans. Now i really don't no much about them really but.

I was starting to think about the RPMs of the fans is it better to have a higher Rpm for more air flow be cause i seem to be seeing with the fans i have are 1,200rpm and they really don't seem to move that much air at all.

Now when i use my MSI afterburner i can crank the Rpm's on my video card and that goes up too about 42,000 RPM's flat out and it will keep my GPUs temp down to about 92F witch is very cooled and when i play high graphics games it barely hits 110F.

    So i am thinking

Then i started to look on Newegg.com
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999344
    And found this its RPM's 800 - 2400 RPM

I have these right now http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103052
But like i said 1,200RPM's don't seem to move very much air and i have plenty of spots for 120mm fans i think i have 5 spots for 120mm fans and on the side i have a 200mm fan witch i think its kinda point less too have a big *** fan that size be cause it does not move that much air your better off having some thing smaller i guess.

200mm are big http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...8&isNodeId=1&Description=200mm+fan&x=0&y=0And kinda don't really do any thing. They may look nice but they do not put out air Barely.I am better off using my dual window fan that is a window fan that slides in and out of the window lol i get my computer to stay around 90f

I found these for heatsinks 42,000RPM wow only bad thing about thing is that there a 60mm fans lol but i think them 60mm fans would blow better air then the 120mm

My point here is to look for the highest RPM i guess not all the other crap that they list. The faster that the fan goes the more air moves.

Bigger fans move more air at lower rpms, which equals less noise. Your case fans if not pulling noticable air to you may mean your air flow through your case is wrong or not planned well. Small fans = high rpms = high noise, large fans = slower/lower rpms, less noise, more air.

    This is wrong, btw.

If you read the specs, most fans will have a CFM (Cubit Feet of air per Minute) rating on them. This is the easiest way of comparing which fan moves the most air.

Another thing to consider is the noise level. Generally, the higher the RPMs the more noise the fan will make.

42,000 RPM? My guess is this fan is about as quiet as an EF-5 tornado. :-D

GTX 550 ti fan speed is 4,200 its quite at 75% that's about 3,400 Rpms 4,200 is my max on my GPU but it's loud as hell lol.But not as loud as my Dual window fans :-DAt high speed.

i must have added one Extra 0 on them lol with out thinking.

So your saying key thing to look for in a fan is CFM (Cubit Feet of air per Minute) More like per sec on my dual window fan on high.Is it better to have a higher CFM or lower i still don't get it lol kinda tired at the moment.Im kinda not really worried about the noise level hell i sleep with head phones on most of the time.

I was looking on newegg again and looked at what you where talking about the CFM

The Current Fans i haveOnly put out about 44.73 CFM
    Cooler Master R4-S2S-124K-GP
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103052

If i get this fan witch it has its own Speed controler this puts out about Max 110.03 CFM
    SILVERSTONE FM121 120mm Case Fan

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999344

So i would say that the Silverstone would be a better option for a intake fan because of the Higher CFM's

So would i all so need a higher CFM fan on the out take port or would the Coolermaster be better at lower speeds.

This is what i am trying to get at really

I all so have a spot on the bottom of the case where i can either have a fan pointing in or out i would rather have a fan on the bottom pointing in word to direct flow the cool air up word. Now would it be better if i had another Silverstone do that as well.where i would have it this way Front side pointing in Bottom pointing up to direct the air flow up.

Don't mind my miss typing im tired haven't slept yet.:-D

Make sure your fans pulling air in, equal the cfm of your fans pointing out.
