fans

anyone know where to get a good cheap 60x60x10mm fan at? Ive tried all the local stores by me an no one had them, I've looked on newegg but they want me to buy a whole new heatsink, when I just need the fan. Any help would be great. Also, I take it, it wouldnt be wise to keep using it without a fan, or a half working fan?

 

yea think this should work? its a 60x60x13 surly 3mm is that much, is it? plus its not screwed in, its clamped in o.0

 

ehhh....29DBs is pretty loud, might wanna look for something quieter

hmm...I like this one, but in the reviews is says its kinda loud, and the last thing I want is another loud pc, then again, it cant be louder then a fan that squeals. I wouldn't have even noticed it, if it wouldnt have stopped making noises :cool

what do you guys think of it?

I shoulda looked a bit harder
I normally try to buy 2 or 3 things at once to cancel out the shipping
thats probably why Ive got 7 fans and 1 on the way

I try to keep them all around 20 to 22dBA any more is a bit loud

dodgied up a variable speed knob for the one thermaltake fan
that is one loud little bugger

My CPU fan is meant to be around 1.4 sone (about 35 to 40 dBA ...ish)
but it usually only runs around 850 rpm, so its a fair bit quieter than that
CPU runs about 36 degrees celsius (97 degrees fahrenheit)
