Far Cry 2 any good?

Just bought one of them 260 Nvidia cards with Far Cry 2. Is it a good game? I loved Far Cry. Fun game. Just curious if any of you have played it.

 

It's okay, just got boring really fast. I played if for a few days then sold it...

 

i find far cry 2 very fun... play it on hardest with no crosshair and use the flamethrower on anything possible:-D. However i agree it may get boring very quickly (i havent played it much yet )

 

The gameplay is just extremely repetitive.

 

All I know about it is the graphics are good.

I actually didn't think this about the game. It's open world so you can attack any situation differently. Traveling and engaging the checkpoints is the same thing over and over for sure but the actual missions let you do a number of different things and you can play them however you want.

 

I heard that too. I decided to check it out anyway.

Here were my impressions:

It's a sandbox style of game, much like GTA. Decent combat system. Unfortunately, the game itself is very repetitive (like I'd heard), and missions are not very unique. Basically you drive halfway across the map to receive the mission (and get paid), killing off tons of soldiers at roadblocks. Then you turn around and go back the same way, having to kill off those same soldiers that have respawned. Over and over again.

 

I agree its very repetitive. But the graphics look good on high settings

 

got it on xbox and its real good mate.
designing maps and being able to down load other peoples "in my books" makes it the best game ive played.

could of been made better but a brilliant game.

i play mainly online,started story mode and its like a grand theft auto san andreas type with big map and loads to do.
this is the kind of game i like spending my money on as you cant complete it in 2 days.

get it its brill.

The first one was much better. In the first one, I liked the fact that you had to use stealth tactics (throwing rocks to get attention) if you wanted a chance to survive. Plus I like playing on a tropical island instead of a poverty stricken Africa. Part 1 was a branch off of the original PC game which was great. Part 2 starts out cool, but gets old very fast. Not worth $60.

 

Myself, Just not a fan of it. Not near as good as far cry imho. Played it a day or two then uninstalled it.

If your into kinda scary kind of games Dead Space is Super Good. Kinda like playing the movie aliens. Even going through the second time with the level 6 suit was fun. As far as FPS Dead Space Is right up there with the best of them.
