Okay, I have downloaded the far cry demo and had the same problem, but i fixed it. Now that i got the full version, i cant seem to fix it.

    The problem:

The outdoor textures (and water, but i never fixed those) are all messed up. They only appear in red green and blue, solid shades. I can still make out the texture, because the black is still in it, but it looks like a rainbow when i look at the outdoors. Indoor textures and model textures look fine. I know my gpu sucks, but it was still running the demo fine.

I have tried to switch to OpenGL, but that was an utter failure, and have tweaked with the detail levels, and it hasnt changed.

    My specs:
    2.66 Ghz P4
Intel 8585G Gpu (integrated :(, but still ran the demo fine )
    windows xp
    512 MB RAM

Download the latest patch. It seems to have fixed any graphic problems. I am very surprised you are even able to get the game to run on integrated graphics. Farcry is a very graphicly demanding game. I highly suggest buying a new agp video card. For roughly $220 you can get a ATI 9800Pro. Best bang for the buck right now. ;)

If you are planing on getting a new Video Card (which you should), I think PCI Express or AGP, the GeForce 6600 GT for about $180 is even a better buy...also I like Nvidia and their Drivers to be more compatible, reliable and performance driven.

with an integrated chip ... put the settings at their lowest then work from there .. I'm suprised it even runs ... how much RAM does it use?

Thanks for the suggestions, but the point was to avoid getting a new gpu. I fixed it, but it was a pain. I went through all the individual graphical variables in the config files, and turn off everything my gpu didnt support (which wasnt that much really, its pretty compatible.) But the sacrifice I have to make for having such a crappy gpu is the resolution and water effects, so I can run it at a decent framerate.

And to ur question, its 64 MB.
