FarCry Login Failure

After a fresh install of xp pro and my software I cannot login to FarCry multiplayer. I have disabled all firewalls,antivirus and spyware utils, rebooted numerous times, created a new ubi account, reinstalled and updated my n.i.c., and updated all drivers that I can think of. My machine seems fine otherwise, no problem connecting anywhere else and the game works fine in single player mode.
When I type my username and password into the multiplayer interface it just says" login failure cannot login to ubi database". in the past I have had problems with my cd key not disconnecting along with other probs with the multiplayer site I have never had this particular prob and am looking for any suggestions,

Got it working, not sure if it was my genius troubleshooting, or the much more likely case where I cluelessly changed some setting that fixed things......................

 

I'm guessing it was an Ubisoft problem, because I couldn't get on to the multi-player logon either for a few days. I thought I had messed up my pc, but I guess it was there fault because now it works fine.
