...no problem with it. But with Spybot S&D, CCleaner, Win Defender, and Spyware Blaster, I see no real utility to it, unless one is using the Ad Watch feature. What say you?

I wouldn't use the ad watch feature if I were running Windows Defender...

Annnnnnd, I've never used spyware blaster, so I'm pretty happy with Adaware, Spybot, and Windows Defender... got the real time protection, and specialized on demand scanning for spyware and adware...

I say I like ad aware.

However, seeing I've never had any real spyware...its a moot point.

    Ditto ;)

Its a good backup scan still tho, but I'm heading towards using AVG Antispyware and A2

I use ad aware on people's machines initially. That allows me to get enough garbage off to get the machine into a workable state, so I can use other programs to finish the job. No one program can do it all.

Well, the human brain can...effectively prevent all spyware, but alas...eh, I won't go there :p

Unless you're running low on HD space, why not keep it around? It doesn't use any resources when it's not running (I don't recommend Ad Watch either), it doesn't take much time to update it once a week or so, and it gives you another weapon in your arsenal in case you do get a malware infection.
