Recently I installed a new Homepage program called superkickstart (2). If you want to start your browser fast, this is it. I downloaded it from pcworld it’s free and it works great. You can customize it to show all your favorites so everything is in it that you want. The issue I have is when I start the browser with the shortcut my warning bar pops up telling me that the internet is trying to load Scripts or an ActiveX control. Does anyone know how to stop the warning bar for just this window? Being that it does not have http address because it is a file on my c drive you can not do it by adding it to a safe site and I didn’t want to turn off my warning bar completely. For anyone interested in this program the instructions and program is at this link: http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,115803-page,1-c,webauthoringsoftware/article.html

I also read PCWorld, which isn't that much of a coincidence, really, considering the number of PC users here, but anyway...

It sometimes works to use the file protocol to make a url to a local file, that is, for example c:\my documents\startpage.htm would become file:///c|/my%20documents/startpage.htm

Did it really work or is this just an ad?
