    Hi,

I'm trying to sort out fast user switching for my friends netbook it's a Dell Mni 10 running XP. She said it user to work but doesn't anymore.

When you go into "Change the way users log on or off" in User Accounts under Control Panel. The "Use the welcome screen" option is ticked but the "Use fast user switching" isn't when you tick it and apply all seems fine but if you go into it is unticked again.

    Any Ideas?

Hi Chris, maybe Terminal Services is turned off? Start > Run > "services.msc" and hit Enter, scroll down to Terminal Services and check the settings, default is Manual (Started).
