faster inet

is there any programs (that work) that will give you a noticalble boost for your internet speed? im runnin around 2-2.5 mbps

You never answered the question. What speed are you paying for?

 

the speed is like up to 4mbps

 

It does sound a bit low. I have a 6 Mbps line and the best that I can get is around 620 KBps. You have to take into account your overhead, which DSLreports shows in grey on the bar. Also, your speed is dependant on the amount of traffic. I wouldn't buy anything that says that I can increase the speed. That's just marketing. I just checked and right now I'm getting 593KBps. I'm quite pleased.

 

i'm paying for about 300kbps, but only getting a peak of about 100... using IE... with windows firewall... any suggestions?
