    Dell netbook?

I am unable to start my dell netbook it keeps saying a fault and try using the repair option, however this does not work and i have tried to access windows xp via the safemode and the safemode command prompt.

All i need off the thing is some photos of the kids then i could reinstall windows. The machine has no dvd / cd drive .

    Can anybody help?

You did not provide much info.
    Exactly what words/numbers appear.
What model of dell netbook? What steps did you go through to try and repair it?
It helps to know thje model before I search for users manual and setup guides.

How do you plan to reinstall windows?

To get files off, remove the hd, attach by USB to another computer and copy the files you want to the desktop of the working computer.
Adapter to connect hd via USB port to another computer

you'll be looking for something like this. At the moment, without knowing the model, I'm not sure what type connection the hd uses.
