Faulty Laptop Screen

    Friend just foned has an Acer Aspire 3050 that kids use. The screen stays blank but will show up all OK when he touches the screen/lid surround... any ideas fellow Geeks.

    Thanx for that risk hmm... strange how I missed that thread... Point taken i think its a job for local specialist as i'm confident taking apart desktops but not laptops. Will pass this on to friend this morning.

    If you are comfortable dismantling desktops this should be no trouble whatsoever. Just follow the instructions in the thread.

    Removing the laptop lcd screen bezel in order to check the connector on the back is fairly straight forward.
