    Good topic........

As well as many of the ones mentioned already, albiet some do go on too long and become stale and predictable, but hey!

    Some of mine are:

Hancocks Half Hour (yeah showing I'm old, but honestly it was repeats ;))
    The Goons
    The
    Yes Minister
    Green Wing
    The Thin Blue Line
Porridge (a classic, if not seen before do seek it out)
    Steptoe and Son
Man About the House (double entendre at its best)
    On the Busses
    Drop the Dead Donkey
    Some Mothers Do Have Em
    Are You Being Served

augiedoggie The Canadian Loon - LocoAugie (R.I.P. 2012)

I forgot about him!:-D I also liked that poor guy who could never get a break as something was always going wrong. I can't remember his name, skinny guy with an expressive face too and no dialogue IIRC. Also had a movie which sucked IMO.

    EDIT: Mr.Bean himself, Rowan Atkinson.:-D

Would that have not been in a Benny Hill show and could have been Frank Spencer aka Michael Crawford in Some Mothers Do Have Em?

The best part about the Christmas season is that all the Mr. Bean Christmas Specials, along with the Vicar of Dibley and Are you being served will be on. Splendid time!!!!

Wow your US networks show these shows, are they on a main network or specialty channel?

We get alot of these as repeats at christmas, on one or another channel, just like we will ubiqutiously get "The Great Escape", "Sound of Music", "Muppets Christmas Carol" and likely this year is my good guess of all three of "Pirates of the Carabean" films, good as they are, they showed them last year,

Best thing over Chrismas for me and music afficinados will like is Jools Hollands New year Hogmanay show (or as he calles it Hootenanny) you may find previous years shows on YouTube, and well worth looking them up.

  19. Phantom

    Phantom Brigadier Britches

    It Aint 'Alf Hot Mum

    I could go on....;)

With my Satellite TV provider they're on the BBC America channel.

They also showed Wire in the Blood, and a whole slew of British murder mysteries a while back, like Inspector Morse, and the one with Frost (A touch of Frost?), tons of Agatha Christie movies... good times were had by all. :)

    Blackadder.
    Monty Python.
    Spaced.
    Mighty Boosh.
    The Fast Show.
Not the nine 'o clock news (I think that was how it was called)
    Father Ted.
    The Young Ones.
    Faulty Towers.
    Some mothers do have 'em.
I purchased On the Buses last week and gotta say it's pretty damn good-considering that I wasn't sure initially:)
There was also this one set in a hospital ward that I loved-really cannot remember the characters much (as used to come on tv when I was a girl) but can remember part of the song title, which was something like: 'I am h.a.p.p.y...I am h.a.p.p.y...I know I am, I'm sure I am...I am h.a.p.p.y'

-Does anyone know which series I'm on about?
