Fax Problems

This might not be the place to post this, but I am needing some solutions.

My wife works from home and sends/receives 100's of faxesa month. We have WinFax set-up on the PC to receive Faxes when she is not online, and we have a Brother Fax machine to send "paper" faxes of actual paper documents she receives.

Our problem is this: a certain fax receiver can never receive a fax from her, the fax goes soooooo slow and ends up disconnecting, before the complete fax is finished. She has tried numerous time, and even took the fax to my work fax maxchine and tried it and it took forever (15+ minutes...) to actually send it, but it went through. She calls them, and of course they say they "we talked to our technical staff, and the problem is on your end".

Does anyone know of fax software that will check lines to see what end the problems lie on? Should we contact the phone company to check our line, or is that a waste of time?

you could have the phone co. check your line as it will rule that out as being a problem BUT as all other faxes seem to have no problems and you even did a test on another fax machine which was slow, so to me it sounds like its the other users fax thats the problem ( very easy to blame someone else rather than look at their own hardware as the culprit imo ) rather than yours!

I personal dont know of any other option you have.. if the fax machine at the other end is seeming to not want to communicate with yours then all I can sugest is another alternative route to sending the info may need to be looked at ... can she email the info instead to that one company/user?
