Fdisk.. Cant Delete Extended DOS

I was asked to reformat a drive, from a friend. yesterday. Now, when i told him that I will resize the partition... so that itll be 5 - 25 - 10, from the 20 - 20 gb (40gb Drive). while i was partitioning the drive.. the extended dos drive cant be deleted - it prompted me that there is a logical drive. i tried deleting the logical drive, but it dont have any... my friend told me that it was fat32 drive converted to ntfs. now even using the "delete non-dos partition" choice doesnt help....

Any suggestions guys....

 

Fdisk can't handle NTFS partitions inside an extended partition (Actually it might delete the wrong partition if more than one in the extended partition)

Microsoft have created the tool delpart which is able to delete NTFS partitions in DOS (Part of the WinNT resource Kit).
