Feeling stupid about AVG7.5

I needed turn off AVG 7.5 (free) yesterday and for the life of me couldn't find how to temporarily switch it off.
It used to be an easy to find the option in the control centre in earlier versions.

Right-click the icon in the task bar and select "Quit AVG Control Center"

 

Thanks, Bob, does this stop AVG running or just close the control centre?

Ah..now I feel stupid

Closing it still leaves at least 3 processes active that I can see, so I guess it's just the control center.

 

If it is just the resident shield part you are talking about then open the Control Center, double click the Resident Shield and remove the checkmarks next to the option labeled "Turn on AVG Resident Shield protection". Don't forget to retick them when you are done.
