Few Problems Please Advise

Hopefuly my questions are fairly easy to solve.
I have seen solutions somewhere but cannot find them now.
My relosutions cannot be set to anything but 640x480. I have tryed everything i know what to do, in the control panel under display but without any luck.
The other problem i am having is when i play a game on pogo after about 10 min. it will boot me off and say i have lost connection. I am on cable and it is working fine. Is something set wrong?
I am using laptop thinkpad 1400/1500 (2621) it is using windows me. I am not sure what else you need. Please advise Thank you

 

Where is the HELP?

I posted a question 2 days ago and i am not sure if anyone cares.
Maybe it is silly to ask that type of questions here, but there are some of us out here that are not very good working with the computers and need help.

I just took a look at your other posts. Some people have replied and you have not answered to let them know of any progress or questions you might have.

as has been suggested, with your poor resolution issue, it is lkely a video card driver that needs updating. If you dont know how to go about doing that, do some research or ask. we'll be happy to help you.

having said that, this is a free user community, any help given is out of the kindess and availability of the members here. Not answering old posts and then complaining that nobody is helping you is not a good way to get help. If you want immediate assistance, you will probably have to pay somebody to come fix your problems. We'll do the best we can here, but please give us some time to respond, and in turn, respond to our comments and inquiries as well.

To answer your question, Yes please i do need assistance in updates.

Thank you so very very much. Things look so much better now. I did try to update the driver befor but it would not load. I guess you have the magic touch. Thank you again.

 

Hello I am back. Updating the driver worked for awhile and now this is what i get.l
In the control panel under display, settings this is what i find.
l. digital flat panel (640x480) on rage mobility-m1 agp (english)
2. defalt monitor on rage mobility-m-1 agp(english)
I can change it to the 2 one and then i can change the resolution but it will not let me apply it. It goes back to the 1
Does this make any sense to anyone. Please advise me thank you

 

You will have to leave it on default unless you have a external monitor pluged in your laptop. ed

 

Thank you but how do i keep it on default? When i click on default it does not give me the option to apply it. When i get out of the display screen it goes back to the number 1 seting.

 

Is the number 1 setting working fine for you with the appropriate screen resolutions?

No the number 1 setting is set at 640x480 only and cannot be changed. That is why i need to set it on the number 2 so i can change the resolutions to higher so the area of the screen will fit. The way it is the way over the screen on the right side.

Can anyone please advise me on how to set by default setting so it will stay on. Please help this is getting me so frustrated.

Thank you but i know what you are talking about but when i click on #2 the box at the bottom that has you apply will not let me it only lets me click on the OK.
