File And Folder Encryption

Hello guys. Longtime no speak.

Just wondering, I know that MG has a ton of tools listed for encrypting files and folders. What do you all use or recommend? I have Windows 10 Home (not my choosing) and would like to selectively encrypt. Thanks!

7-zip allows you to encrypt, AES-256 and also password protect a file or folder.

 

I always love open source software and its power for use in CLI......i like the fully functional VeraCrypt
You can create a virtual encrypted disc (as a file) and mount it as a physical disc.
Encryption thus becomes automatic and in real time (on the fly) drag n drop!

 

I've used Cryptainer LE for donkey's years which does exactly the same. Only possible hitch is the virtual disk is limited on the free version to 100 Mb. I'll take a look at VeraCrypt.

 

Sounds like some good suggestions guys. I'll give them a shot.
