So we downloaded Microsofts free view to view .pps files. When downloading a .pps from an email to the desktop, we are able to navigate and play the .pps file. Would like to be able to select the file from the email in Outlook Express, but the error says there is no program associated with the file, go to Folder Options in Control Panel to fix. So we did so! The Microsoft Office Powerpoint Viewer 2003 is selected to alway go for .pps files. Why does it tell me that it is not??

In a search for help, I found this webpage:
    http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ppsopen.htm
However, I get lost at the step where it says to click on Advanced. It just does not appear in the Folder Options applet.

You do not see the button "Advanced"?

What operating system are you using? XP, 2000, Me, 98....?

"Advanced" should be above "Cancel" and "Apply".

If you selected the TAB "File Types".

    No problem!

Though, if you found a another solution to this problem, thanks for the reply. Perhaps in the future when one searches this forum for an answer for your question, they can be equally satisfied, with your solution!

We hope to not see you again, but if we do, we'll be more than happy to help you! :)
