I currently backup only the files that I use each day to USB drive. Is there any software that scans the USB drive and then checks the hard drive for changes?

Not that I've ever come across but a great way of backing up your folders and files is to use a sync program. These watch for changes in either set of folders, originals or backups, and when changes are detected take whatever action you have set as default. I use SyncBack, and it's great, but Microsoft also do SyncToy which is equally good. There are many other ways of syncing sets of folders but whichever you choose it should meet the need here.

Guess windows default back system will do it, but here is how they do it.
System will check for new or updated files in your computer/folder then it will copy or backup it up to your selected drive in your case it will be your USB drive.

    Hope it helps in anyway.

A sync tool is what you need. Look for PureSync - it's free and will do exactly what you want.
