file download problems.

    as said i have file download problems. when i download. files like
    http://www2.ashampoo.com/webcache/html/1/product_2_0029__.htm

    i get a file named ashampoo_ip_spam_blocker_fe.1.2D0D17

    and i cant open it ????? and it is not just here it is also when i get patches and other stuff. wery irretating.

    am i missing a critical program ??

    Hi

    Which Windows version you have?

    If and when opening these downloaded programs to run then, do you get error messages? if so what are they?

    Boot to safe mode and try installing one of these applications, does that work?

    Have you scanned for malware on your PC, as malware can be a cause of apps not installing.

    im using. Win XP pro DK.

    and theres no error message, just nothing happens.
    and the file look like a dokument. with some lines and small A in it.

    and im using firefox. but i have also tryed with IE. and that is the same.

    could it be a download program. helper or some thing `?
