File Explorer Stops Responding When I Right Click

If I have any folder of file explorer open, be it My Computer or My Documents or any folder within these for example, and I right click in the window (to rename a document for example), I get the 'loading' cursor, everything freezes and the window becomes unresponsive.

I have a HP Pavilion laptop, Operating System: Windows 8.

I ran a scan in Command Prompt and it found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. I have attached a screenprint of the Command Prompt window and the log it produced.

Can anyone advise me on how to fix this?

I suggest you follow the advice in the SFC guide here on how to create to the desktop a much smaller
sfcdetails.txt document. Reading through 4mb of cbs log is not a good idea:

Hi

If SFC is not fixing this and you are getting a crash with Explorer and the rightclick context menu then I would start to suspect a 3rd party install, this can be anything from iTunes to a Burning app, what I would try 1st to see if you can narrow down the issue is to download and run (run as admin) http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/shellexview.html and then click Company on the column list to put them in company order then disable anything not related to Microsoft, then try again (may need to reboot) if all is well then the bigger troubleshooting task of enabling one company or app at a time until you get another crash and thats your culprit.

If found then uninstall the app and enable all again.
