   A friend gave me a song with an ext. of .m4a. I Tunes doesn't recognize it. Can someone tell me what format it is or how i can convert it to an mp3?

   There's a bunch of programs that will convert different formats into mp3's. Check the MultiMedia section here at Major Geeks. A good free one is called SUPER. It works with all types of media files, both audio and video.
