    Hi all,
Can anybody tell me how to find out who is using a file in a Win2k server environment. I want to replace this file with a new copy, but the message is "access denied".
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards.

Are you talking about just a regular file in a shared network folder (not a system related file)?
I'm not sure, but maybe you can try: Computer Management>System Tools>Shared Folders>Open Files

could you be getting the error because you are not the owner. You may have to then take ownership of the file.

Oops, I was assuming that the op was an admin of the server.
