File Kicker from MG download

Not sure where to put this thread. Sure someone will put it where it belongs.

Just tried to download Avant Browser 10 from the MG site. Clicked to download from "Authors site". Got a quick look at a web link in my browser starting "filekicker.private.**********" then got redirected. So far been kicked to 3 different file downloads on CNet Download.com, all of them massive spyware/adware programs. (Kazaa, RegChecker-something or other and cant recall other)

Think somone done a hack job there somewhere.

Right, off to see if any of the other links let me get my browser.

 

Got the file from the dedicated MG servers.

Would have downloaded from the CNet site, but the damn thing kept giving me different files to what I asked for. And every file it gave was "Adware" or "Spyware" crap.


Gets on my nerves when all I want is the file I ask for.

CNet does use the software mentioned by Major Attitude above, and it does place a tracking cookie on your hard drive. Have ran into this issue before, and I delete all my cookies at the end of my surfing session.
