    File Manager for Windows

I have been searching for a File Manager for Windows, and have found a lot of information, but I would like to know what you, dear member, recommend.

Plz don't recommend Nexus-something because I am unable to see the words, etc. in each window because of its black background.

Oh ... and it's gotta be freeware!

    Thanks!

    Welcome Jen of CA :major

    FreeCommander

I use this occasionally and it's pretty good.
You can not access all of the right-click menu stuff that would be available in Windows Explorer.
You can set up numerous file filters which can be accessed from Alt+PgDn and location History with Alt+Down Arrow

    Another is xplorer2 Lite.
This is a very powerful file manager. I haven't used it in a while because I had trouble
remembering all of the access keys. If you can get comfortable with the interface, this is a great Free file manager.

    Thank you, mjnc!

I just now downloaded the free version of xPlorer2.Lite (using the correct link you posted).

    It looks very promising!

I'm going to use it todoy and have some fun with it.

    Thanks again!
