File Recovery

    During the last week I had a major system crash. With much help, and advice I finally got up and running again, but not until I had no choice but to do a clean install.
    I am writing a novel, and when I actually crashed, I hadn't had a chance to back up a days work of writing onto my disk. I lost it.
    Will file recovery bring this folder back to me? After a format? Please advise quickly someone, because I am downloading one right now, and don't want to waste my time if it is going to bring back all the junk I just got out of this thing.

    The way it works is the more you use your computer, the more likely the data is lost. What happens is when new data is written to your hard drive, it can often overwrite sectors with recoverable data. Tools to recover are here:
