I have a hard drive that has been formated. Since the format, nothing has been installed on it. I have a load of files that I would like to recover. Is there a way that I can do this?

There's a lot of file recovery programs around, this site has some I know, I'm not sure how effective they are. If nothing else, a dedicated computer store might be able to help you.

Depends on the format. If it was quick you may be able to recover some as the other posters suggested but if you did a thourogh one you may be out of luck as it writes a hex pattern to all sectors....nothing left after that.
