    Hi,

I have recently bought a HP Notebook. To cut long story short, I managed to share files on it with my PC without any problem, using a LAN cable. This paradise ended after installing Service Pack on the notebook, although I am not 100% sure if that's the reason.

The PC can see the notebook on local network, but is unable to access ANYTHING on it (access denied, check permission etc.). The notebook doesn't see the PC at all.

Perhaps there is something wrong with the group I created?

The Windows Firewall is off on both computers, I don't use it at all. I don't use any other firewall on both computers (and am happy with it ;-) ). When I opened the Properties tab on my Local Connection and clicked Advanced, the firewall Properties, the WinFirewall was set to on, though. Strange, because it is disabled through Control Panel. Anyway, it's turned off now on both computers.
Needless to say (but I will anyway) a folder is set as Shared on the Notebook.

Please help, I have tried other suggestions I found on many other forums, articles and such, nothing worked. Access denied.
