File Transfer Over the Internet

Hey Geeks, I need your assistance.

Can you tell me of the best way you know how to transfer larger files over the internet. Maybe a couple of gigs large.

Do you know of any file transfer system which which will allow you to transfer large files over the internet and give then transferee, confirmation of file transfer / delivery?

I use Drobox myself, but I'm not using large files. The free version gives you 2gb to start with, and the more devices you link to it the more you will be able to use. I upload to dropbox, send the link to the receiving person to download it, then delete off of Dropbox and upload something else. There may be better services out there, but this has served me well and the people receiving don't need to learn new routines every few months (which is why I stopped using Microsoft's Skydrive, things kept changing).

Some services limit you on size per file. Dropbox doesn't. If you have 3gb of space and have a 3gb file, you can use Dropbox.
