File Transfers via WAN?

Alright.. In search of some software that can have the ability to transfer files to Police Cars that are connected to our WAN via Sprint Air Cards. Preferably a way to push to multiple cars at once and not just one at a time.. Been researching for a while and can't seem to find anything I'm looking for. Anyone lead me in a better direction?

 

This is more of a question that an answer to your question.
In theory aren't police cars connected to a network , for instance if you were to run a license plate and it was to come back as stolen does a signal then go to other cars on the network as well as the dispatcher. Or if a call wee dispatched the same screen in the police vehicle should appear on the dispatchers screen. In theory if this is the case would a software push from your central server accomplish this. Again I know I didn't answer your question but I'm just curious?????????????

 

Yes, but they are connecting via air cards through a secure tunnel back to our connection. We basically want a quick and easy way to persay deploy a desktop shortcut to a new web url or program to all cars easily and effectively without having to do them manually. I've found one piece of software to do that specific thing, but it seems very buggy and not worth paying for by any means.

 

I'm sorry i don't have an answer for you, but I was thinking have you tried to contact other Metro PD's and see what type of software they use to push updates to mobile stations. I'm sure they will help, other than that you will have to check back here in a little while and someone else may have a answer for you.

 

What's wrong with using the network administrator's messaging service?

 

Our company uses Landesk to push out stuff, works pretty good.
