Files Don't Show After Windows Update.

I just had an update from Windows, and at first, I thought all my files had been deleted. Because my pictures folder and any other folder I went to was empty, all the files on my desktop were also gone. As I frantically tried to find a way to recover the files I noticed a file came up under the Search Files and Folders when I started to type recovery into the windows search bar. When I clicked Open file Location I could see all the files that were supposed to be on my desktop. I was even able to open the file no problem. So the files are still on my PC but for some reason, the icons for them do not show up on the desktop or in their normal file location. The only way to access any of them is through the windows search files and folders bar. Is there a way to fix this so they appear like normal agian?

 

Well after searching I did find a fix to the problem with the help of the tweaking.com windows fixing thingy that you guys have available here on Major Geeks. If a Moderator finds this it would be great to shut down or delete this thread so it doesn't take up space on the forum. Thank you.

 

I'm not a moderator,so keep that in mind..... but threads are not normally deleted especially if a solution is found.
