I am replacing this computer, and want to transfer some files to the new one via a flash drive.
I found "cut" with the idea of cutting and pasting. Nothing happened.
Can't find another method, then I've never done such a transfer so I am complete;y lost.
    Suggestions?
    Tnx,

Nothing appears to happen when you click Cut, but if you then navigate to the flash drive and right click you can use Paste. Cut removes the file from the computer but you could also use Copy which leaves the original in place. These simple tools have been present in all versions of Windows for the last 20 years. You will find other useful tools on the right click menu, the Context menu.

Select and right-click the files, and under Send to select removable disk.
