Find all pictures

Is there any way of finding all pictures on my laptop(windows home vista 64) current and deleted ones? Thanks

 

For current pictures, you can use the Windows 'search' feature, or a 3rd party search tool and use common picture extensions as the search terms (for example: *.jpg; *.bmp; *.png, etc). For deleted pictures, you'll need a data recovery tool. Keep in mind that the longer an item has been deleted from the PC, and the more general use the PC has had in that time, the lower the chances of successfully recovering the deleted file. When a file is deleted, it is not really removed from the hard drive. All files have a "header" that says "the following 'X' blocks or clusters are occupied by such-n-such file". When the file is deleted, only the header is changed to say "the following 'X' block or clusters are now empty and free for use", so the actual data is still there until those blocks/clusters are needed by something else. There are many good paid apps too and the demo will usually show you if the data is actually there to be recovered before you have to pay for the program. The way they work is they'll show you the data, but the 'save' option is disabled until you purchase an 'activation' key or something similar..... I hope this helps! Good luck!
