    Greetings,
I have a WordPad document that is divided into numbered chapters and verses. Instead of changing the font size of the 'numbered' items one at a time, I tried to copy a number (let's say 1) in font size 13, placed that in the Find field, copied another 1, font size 11, put that in the Replace field, and clicked 'go', or something similar. Work it did not. Also tried checking the 'case' box, still no. Does anyone know if this trick can even be done? If so, how? Thanx, Paul2

Welcome to MajorGeeks, WordPad is just basic don't know how much the formatting means to you, might be able to import it into something like free OpenOffice and then format it using Styles, Word is not an option? As suggested the Software Forum would be a better place for your question.

Thanks for the welcome! (thanks for the answer too!) I was thinking last night about this problem, and your suggestion is what I came up with as well. I think I may be able to do something like that and i've got a couple of professional WP programs I can try it with. For whatever reason, my laptop (government, used) does not have Word installed on it. (Mac would have included something like Word in the software OS package,i.e. AppleWorks; plus, I can't afford to buy it (fixed income). I posted in this forum because it said this was a good way (place) to post one's first posting. Thanks for your response!

    Hello Paul,

OpenOffice is here if you decide to use it

I can understand the budget thing, been meaning to download OpenOffice to my laptop, heard lot of good things about it.

If you use WP, check for updates and remember to save the original as another name to be safe before converting it.

Re posting in the forum, you did the right thing. Welcome Center is like the information booth for MajorGeeks where we say hi and direct people to the right forum. Usually a Admin. will move it to the correct forum, you ended up in Software. Sorry if I sounded harsh was not my intention, sometimes my fingers and brain don't work well together.

Added thought, make sure WP is not a trial if you will need this document in the future.
