Finding Dell model type

I am trying to add memory to a Dell Optiplex GS270. I am offered a choice of 3 types, SD/SMT, SFF, or nSFF. The differences seem to be some take a 182 pin or a 184 pin memory stick.
Machine is second hand and Dell won't help. Any ideas? Thanks

 

How did you contact Dell? By phone, or by chat with your service tag?

From the specs, you need PC2700 memory, with a maximum of 2GB. There is a model that will accept 4GB, but that much may be overkill, as well as prohibitively expensive.

 

I believe the S means small form factor. The actual Dell series is GX.

I tried registering and using the Chat. Got shut down. Tried email, but all I have is service tag; no order or customer number, so email wasn't accepted.
Am unclear on difference between mini tower and desktop.

And, oh yeah, there are different form factors for motherboards. That is their physical dimensions. The desktop is what is known as ATX, and the mini-tower is micro-ATX.

Shop around for that memory, some people charge way too much for it.
