    Okay
Now I remember the other thing I was going to ask you?
Do you have 2 hard drives on one pc? I believe that Outlook Express has export program that you can export your contact list that should be readable in various formats..

okay Have you tied to import the Address book into Outlook express? If the address book file is a .wab File you should be able to import from the file location in the vista's hard drive if u know the location and all that... if not then it might get a little more complicted...

so 1 hd has vista on it and the other has xp? i dont think youll be able to get files off 1 os and put them on another without doing some transferring on to some removable media like flash drives or something. i could be wrong though.

Okay you searched the Vista Hard drive for .wab files correct? Can u look into the Vista in ?: (whichever your Drive Vista on) windows\programs \ Microsoft outlook express. From there should be something that might be able to help you

I'm still looking into this but a quick check indicates that Vista uses Microsoft Mail a rebranding of OE. Check Vista Drive Letter:/Users/(MyName)/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows Mail/Local Folders and look for some sort of Contact List.

If you see a Contact List is it plain text?
