Finding New XP Icons...

A few months back I assigned icons to some of my folders in Windows XP. Now, after a re-install I'm trying to set them up again but I can't remember where I found them. I know they are stock with XP and not from a 3rd party (possibly installed with Service Pack 3).

Here is a snap shot of the ones I'm looking for. For clarification, these would be the icons available when you right click the "Properties" of a folder, then the "Customize" tab and then the "Change Icon" button. At that point you can browse for them, which are all located under the same file.

Are you sure they are stock in XP? J8son cause I've looked in every folder and option that I can think of and I've seen about 2 of the ones you have pictured.... As for the rest 'm not sure on that..

 

You can use a program like Icon Snatcher to extract icons from DLL files, EXE files, etc., and you can then save them in your own "Joe's Icons" folder. Lots of stock XP icons can be found in the following files:
%systemroot%\system32\mmcndmgr.dll
.................................\pifmgr.dll
.............................\progman.exe
................................\shell32.dll
..............................\xpsp2res.dll
..............................\compstui.dll
