I just "upgraded" to FIOS from DSL and my speeds seem slower than they were on DSL. There is a main computer that the router is connected to and three other computers in the house, all wireless. None of them are getting the super speed as promised. The internet connection speed test results are download speed of 350 kbps or 44.9 KB/sec transfer rate and upload speed is 4754 kbps (594.3 KB/sec transfer rate). Our contract is for 5/2 mbps. I realize the speed will lessen with the several computers networked, but this is less than we were getting with DSL. I have optimized and even turned the firewall off, but nothing seems to make it faster. My son likes to game on the computer, which is the only reason I "upgraded" but these speeds are too slow for that. Are my expectations unrealistic? Has anyone had these problems or can anyone offer suggestions? Can't get a hold of any one at Verizon (they are starting to sound like Comcast).

I'm having the same speed issues. I "upgraded" to FIOS from dsl, only to find its not much better. I have the Verizon M1424 router which is connected to my desktop and a laptop. I came here looking for some help as well.
