    Not sure if you will have to uninstall 8 but you will have to uninstall the extension adblock.

    I'd recommend uninstalling .8 first. I updated just fine, but 0.9.x changed some directories that are used to store profiles, so I have to clean the crap out. Also, older extentions may not be compatible with the new manager, so they need to be removed.

    I remember reading someplace on their forums that they did recommend uninstalling 8 first.
