    Hi

Sorry this is vague but I didn't really take note at the time!

About 6 months ago (possibly after a Firefox upgrade) I was no longer able to view an ecards specifically from jackielawson.com which use flash player.

At the time my OS was Vista and is now Windows 7.

I'm using Firefox 3.6.11 and Flash 10.1.85.3 (latest available). I have used the Adobe uninstaller and reinstaller. Firefox add-ons lists Shockwave Flash 10.1.r85 and the Adobe site can detect which version I have installed. I have also tried using IE to view the site but with no success.

Does anyone how to fix this? I've read lots of other threads but none of the solutions help.

    Thanks

    Liz

I often have problems viewing flash in FF so I'm not going to be able to help solve the problem. Just want to give a little more info for anyone looking at the thread. The site is actually www.jacquielawson.com/

I had the same problem viewing the cards in FF both with and without AdBlockPlus disabled. IE played the cards fine for me. (Disabling AdBlock is as far as my FF troubleshooting goes.)

Different OS (XP) but running FF 3.6.12 and Shockwave Flash 10.1.85.3 listed under plugins, I can see the ecards fine.
If you run the Noscript addon, be sure to allow scripts to run so you can see the cards.
I also run Adblock plus; I don't remember if I had to change anything in there.

Another thing that often prevents newer versions of Flash Player from functioning correctly, is a graphics driver that does not fully support GPU hardware acceleration.

Try to disable hardware acceleration from Flash Player settings (right-click on the Flash object at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/).

    Hi again

    Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I'm not running Adblock or Noscript but I disabled some plugins that looked likely to cause problems with video and restarted but no change. Then suddenly this morning I started Firefox using session manager and noticed that the ecard had loaded - it played perfectly with sound - so now I'm baffled!!

    Thanks again
