Firefox bookmarks

Perhaps I've overlooked something very simple, basic, and obvious, but when I add a new bookmark in Firefox, it gets added to the end of the list, and is not merged alphabetically. With IE, you can right-click the Favorites list and select "Sort by name" but FF doesn't seem to have this. I end up dragging the new bookmarks to their alphabetically correct locations. This isn't really a big deal, and it takes maybe 5 seconds, but it's an annoyance, and it seems to me that it's a fairly large oversight by the folks at Mozilla (or by the dude asking this question LOL )

You can also do this right from the bookmarks list, don't have to goto "Organize bookmarks" just on the List (say "Forums", "Mail" etc.) right click that and goto 'sort by name," not over in the actual listings of bookmarks.

 

Works perfectly. Thanks! :highfive This is more of what I was looking for. The link provided above by bjgarrick works good too, but it's much more involved then clicking "Bookmarks", then right-clicking "Organize Bookmarks" and selecting "Sort by name". Three clicks.... it's a beautiful thing

After reading some of the comments at bjgarrick's link, I must agree with some of them: why aren't new bookmarks automatically alphabetized when added to the list? With all of the other amazing and excellent features in Firefox, it seems that an auto-alphabetizing bookmarks list isn't too much to ask for. Maybe I'll fire off an email to the Mozilla group
