Firefox 3 was okay, but ever since going to Firefox 4 and 5, it seems to mess up the top edge of the task bar. It's coming from the bookmarks menu. The bookmarks menu that I have is long and extends below the task bar. Whenever I go into the bookmarks and then go out of the bookmarks, it leaves a line along the top edge of the task bar.

If I drag the taskbar up one notch and then back down again, it "erases" this artifact. Here's a few screenshots of it. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes I have this problem as well. I don't know any way to circumvent it though. I've basically been doing the same quick fix as you.

I have my double-height Taskbar set to auto-hide, so I hadn't noticed it until I tested it.

There may be a way to set the Bookmarks to use columns, as it once did. If you have a widescreen, it may be easier to use Ctrl+B and work with your Bookmarks in the left pane?
