firefox doing my head in

Hi folks need some advice

im running firefox 3.6, for two reasons 1) i like it. 2) it supports the tor button add on

its refusing to recognize some forum log on pages and some download button screen, it just jumps back to the beginning wiping out the detail,/ capcha Ive entered

this happens if the tor is active or not, but not with google chrome which im using to write this

Ive reinstalled the entire operating system, ( vista home basic) and fire fox again, but its still doing it, it was fine to about a week ago and has done it odd times before but not for this long

do any of you good people know if there is an ( easy) fix for this, ? or am i stuck with Google

must have been a more difficult question than i imagined

when i did a forum search there were a few similar ones that didn't get a solution

anyway sorted it, but im not sure how ?

uninstalled all addons and turned off all the filters and then reinstalled them and turned all the filters back on and it works just fine

 

Interesting. I had a similar problem with FF for one site; where I would email another member and as soon as I started typing the message everything got wiped out (page goes blank). Works fine in IE. Maybe, I'll try the extension route. I only have a few extensions right now. I don't use the email function very often but it is annoying.

Thanks for your solution. I think I'll try FF safe mode next time it happens and see if there is a change.
