Has anyone updated to FF 3.5.7 and found that it is leaving the .exe process still running for a while after closing, mine updated the other day, and its done it ever since iv'e tried everything under the sun to fix it and the only thing left is to uninstall and reinstall, and i don't really want to be doing that, so if anyone else is experiencing this or/has could you let me know how you sorted it please, or if you have sorted it please !
P.S It only seems to do it if i open extra tabs, if i stay and search through or use the same tab it closes very quickly !

If it don't resort itself to a fix soon i'll be IEing it again !

    Thanks Rusty ! :)

    Hi RJ

No not seeing that on the PC I have Fx 3.5.7 on, but I do normally use on my main PC the alpha of Fx 3.7 a1pre (win32 installer .exe is the one) as its stable and IMHO better than 3.5.x *note not many add-ons work with this version so if you love the add-ons then dont use this version, AdBlock works tho.

But best maybe a re-install as its more the add-ons that cause these issues as many may not be compatible with the updates, always been the main bugbear with Fx.

Cheers Halo/Dom, Dom you where right it worked the way you said no .exe, so i might just do what Halo said and reinstall and see how it goes from there !

    Thanks ;) !

If you have the Add On "Ghostery", disable it and the problem will probably disappear. I don't know why, but the boys over at Wilder's Security forum narrowed it down to Ghostery as the source of the problem if you have the problem in question. :)

Cheers Heyyou thats fixed the problem, you said " I don't know why " about it being ghostery, i think i know why, because a lot of the things you block with it has to do with google, and they don't want you blocking anything they're watching, do they !
