Firefox has changed

Hi, I had a weird problem happen to me today. I turned on my computer, then I had to leave so I put it on standby. When I came back and tried to use firefox, zone alarm told me that firefox had changed since I last connected it to the internet, even though I never updated it. Then, it told me that firefox was trying to access the trusted zone and loopback, which I don't remember it ever doing before. Can someone help me?

 

the latest 1.5 beta version has autoupdate ability. That could be the cause of the warning.

 

I already have version 1.07 though. And I really don't remember it doing the whole loopback thing and having to access my trusted zone.

 

did you install any extensions that might cause this? if not, then I would start a scan on your system following our tutorial.

I didn't stall any extensions. But I did run AVG, Spybot, Spysubtract, and spysweeper, and, nothing.

 

I had this happen to me yesterday but it was because I updated FireFox.. honestly, other than firefox being updated, I'm not sure why your firewall would be prompting you about a change. If you don't have any infections then I'm honestly not sure what else it could be.

If you're concerned, I would periodically scan your system for the next couple of days with AVG on various online scanners.

 

I dunno, maybe it self updated. That makes the most sense to me. Thank you for your help! (if anyone else has any information, it would be greatly appreciated)
