It's now a "legacy" extension. I was depending on that. Can someone recommend an alternative?

The same thing just happened to me - all the extensions have been disabled.
    I found a fix.

    4. Restart Firefox.

    Works in Firefox 60.6.1esr.

The temporary hotfix Mozilla rolled out is working for me. Had to go into Tools, Options, Privacy & Security, Firefox Data Collection and Use, and enable the option "Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla" and its suboption "Allow Firefox to install and run studies". Once your add-ons are re-enabled, you can disable the two options again.
